Custom Wedding Ceremony

Our custom ceremony is intended to represent your relationship perfectly. This is an exclusive service that will not be forgotten and best defines the most unique and intimate experience of getting married; the marriage ceremony. The ceremony is pulled together from beautiful elements that we review together from my library.
As avid interviewers and writers, we conduct a second interview privately with both of the marriage partners in which we create original content for your vows.

Personal Consultation - An extended telephone interview to become familiar with your values and cultural styles. We create your personal ceremony through learning about your backstory, values and cultural styles. Creation of your ceremony and selection of your preferred elements are chosen during this meeting.

In-person or via telephone, a second meeting is set up to begin exclusive composition of your personal vowss.

Review - A draft of your vows is sent to you, where you will have the opportunity to add additional thoughts.

Custom Vows Ceremony
Your vows are original and are custom written for you. The remainder of the ceremony is pulled together from beautiful ceremonies that we review together from my library. For the vows portion, we write your vows or coach you to write your own. The experience of writing and sharing takes on profound significance, and we can help you put your feelings into words so that what you hold in your mind's eye become reality.

Step In Heart of Shells and/or Flowers
Offered as an add-on feature when using our officiant services, we will design your custom step in heart with your choice of florals and colors. We can intersperce flowers with shells, or use shells exclusively.

Subtract $10 if your wedding will contain one of the following:

Marriage License Requirements

Both parties must be present and have an acceptable form of picture identification, drivers license are preferred. If you are not a U.S. citizen, a valid passport must be presented.

Social Security numbers will need to be provided. If either or both parties are not U.S. residents, then a valid passport will act in lieu of the Social Security number.

It is required by Florida Law that a Family Law Handbook be read prior to issuance of the marriage license.
-
If either party has been previously married before, the exact date of the last terminated marriage must be known.
-
If 16 or 17 years of age, both parents must sign and have notarized a Certificate of Consent for Marriage. If under 16 years a court order must be obtained. Exception is a minor that has been married before, as they are considered an adult.

The state of Florida now requires a 3 day waiting period if both parties are Florida residents and have not taken an approved marriage class.*

The license is good for 60 days from the effective date and can be used anywhere in the State of Florida.

The cost of the license is $86.00. If the couple has attended an approved counselling class the price is reduced to $61.00. The provider of the class must be listed with the Clerks office. Inquires may call 904-819-3640.

There are two categories for the permit applications, please request the correct application or your permit may be delayed:

Minor Impact Events

Weddings of 15 to 99 guests and participants

Special events of 15 to 199 guests and participants

Significant Impact Events

Weddings of 100 or more guests and participants

Special events of 200 or more guests and participants

Any event involving a public street

Please be advised that weddings can only occur south of A Street or in Commercial Zones north of A Street (on the beach directly east of Pier Park, hotels, bed & breakfasts, or licensed beachfront vacation rental properties).
PERMIT FEES
Permit fees are $100 and Significant events are required to submit an additional $300 bond.
If you are renting the St Johns County Pier Pavilion and/or Promenade you do not have to pay the application fee, only the bond. You can contact Danielle Fountain at St. Johns County Beach Services regarding rentals at 904-209-0752 or dfountain@sjcfl.us.
PERMIT SUBMISSION
Please fill out the form as completely as possible, if necessary information is missing it may delay the approval process. We recommend a minimum of 30 days for Minor events and 60 days for Significant events to review and process the permit application.
Permits will not be processed until the application fee is received.

St. Johns County Beaches are 41.1 miles of coquina and white soft sandy beaches that are a great place to hold your special event.They make an ideal setting for many occasions and we welcome weddings, parties, sporting events, surf camps / lessons / contests, photography, beach clean ups, and other organized events.

In effort to keep our beaches well maintained, clean and safe, St. Johns County requires that all special events on our beaches have a Special Event Permit.
